The SHO has the same 4.6 as the Stang GT right? But it is 4 door and FWD I think.

The SHO has a small 3.4 liter yamaha V8. It puts out 235HP / 230ft.lbs and runs high 15's stock. I raced the guy from a 20 roll... very close race, but I still beat him <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> .

really slow truck

yeeeup, ive gotten one ticket. for a "california roll" at a stop sign <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> Those of you that know me/have ridden with me know that i dont exactly drive the speed limit either <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I used to own a 98 TA with a six speed and alot of goodies. Well it was a bright sunny day like always and I was driving down to see my brother in Jarrel Tx. I picked him up and wanted to show my car off to him, so we found an old highway with no one around. From a dead stop I burned my way down the highway till we reach a top speed of 168mph. We cruised at this speed for around 10 seconds when I said to him "Wouldn't this be shitty if a cop came over that hill?" Well sure enough a Williamson County cruiser apeard on the hill top and there was nothing I could do but hope to GOD he wouldn't turn around. But he did.
This guy was pissed!! Thank god I talked him into just givin me ticket. After this I was forced by my parents to sell the car, thats how I ended up with my Silverado......and they think a truck cant be fast. <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

I have been very lucky (thank you god) and so none have made it as far as the court for the couple that have i paid for a lawyer,thats where all my performance money went, to get me less probation time so then they throw those out and the one on my record is because i didn't go to court <img border="0" alt="[Banging Head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" /> which was a big mistake

The last speeding ticket I got was in 1987 (yea, I was 18) for 94mph in a 55 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> in my '79 Culass Supreme <img border="0" alt="[pimp]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_pimp.gif" /> . TX State Troopers in a 5.0 Mustang. **** they drew guns on us. Thought we were someone else. Good thing they never found the beer. <img border="0" alt="[chug]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_chug.gif" /> Now I drive like a grandma <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I have no tickets <img border="0" alt="[angel]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_angel.gif" /> I have been pulled over for 68 in a 45 before in my old 355 S10. They were training a rookie to use the radar gun so I just got a warning. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

The second time I got pulled over was in my '00 SS for going around two people at a high rate of acceleration <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" /> It was making a left turn from a light and the road goes from two to one lane. I went around them, probably hit 115 before I slowed, and didn't see the cop sitting behind me at the light. <img border="0" alt="[Banging Head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" /> Needless to say I was about a mile down the road when I saw the flashing lights. I pulled over immediately and was waiting for the guy with my license and reg.(hands on the wheel, interior lights on <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> ). He asked me how I knew he was coming after me. I looked at him and said "After what I just did, I knew you were coming after me". He laughed, told me to slow down and sent me on my way. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

I've been lucky in the truck so far. I've passed a few State boys at high rates of speed but, they just don't seem interested. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Do you guys just never scope for cops <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> I speed like hell, but I'm always on the look out. Only ticket I've ever got was for Carpool Lane when I was 17 and late for summer school. I'm now 20 and have memorized at least 10 undercover plates in the Phoenix Valley. There are tons of undercovers here.
Some TIPS: on the freeway, always glance behind to see if any cops are in the on ramp getting onto the freeway behind you.
if traffic is going slow up ahead where traffic should be nonexistent for that time of day - it's probably a cop. Don't go speeding around everyone just to get a ticket.
don't run from a cop. Phoenix is supposed to have a "slow pursuit policy" but they don't follow that rule. They will get right on your *** and spin you. Iv'e seen it done <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
