Default Custom Power Steering Lines?

Anyone know if I can make a custom power steering line for the high pressure side from pump to steering box and how to go about this? Having a bit of trouble due to the design of the ends, with the o-ring and all. Could I put an NPT to -AN fitting in both the pump and the box and just make up a short high pressure -AN hose to connect them? I'm needing to make a custom one because the pump is from an Envoy and im going into the stock box in my 00 Silverado.

Well, I came up with the answer on my own, figured I'd share in case anyone needs the info. Russel makes an adapter to go from the o-ring seal end to an -an fitting. The part number is 648030. From there you can make a hose with whatever hose and high pressure -an hose ends you wish...

I would be tempted to buy a pre-made hose for that purpose in the length you need....if I recall correctly that high-pressure system is 1000+ psi

That would be the ideal solution, but no one that I've talked to can make these hoses, dealers, O'Reilly's, Napa, even the local John Deere. The problem is the ends are an o-ring seal, which no one stocks or has access to, hence the necessity for the adapter, and when the guy at the parts counter looks at you like you have two heads when you ask if you can make up a hose with -AN fittings, I think I'll trust my own judgement instead...

Ah, I meant custom AN hoses after the adapters.
