Dash peeling on 04 silverado

That happened on my friend's 04 before he sold it. The dealer put a new dash in for him.

i havent had a problem yet, but i just recently covered it. but i always use my sunshade and crack the windows so it doesnt get so hot in the cab.

yeah. you can already tell just by looking at the windshield in that picture.

Mine has been peeling for a few years, and I've never used anything on it myself, but I did have it detailed once or twice where they put some shiny stuff on it...after I specifically requested and "exterior detail only...with no shiny stuff" The majority of the peeling is out of sight though luckily...it's on the sides that you really don't see when the doors are closed and just behind the radio bezel.

A layer of paint started peeling off of the glove box handle...I was able to peel it off just like dead skin after a sunburn. The color underneath is the same grey as the rest of the dash luckily...unlike the dash itself which is black underneath.

I only use a leather conditioner on my painted dash components. The other cleaners/ shines will break down the dash paint and cause the peeling.
