there's a difference, but if you send a message to the guy holding the auction (the guy that repairs them) he can get you exactly what you want for a reasonable price... I lucked out and picked one up from a friend that upgraded his Sierra Denali to the Escalade cluster. Speed O Tach Electronics did my mileage correction.

i found a company that sells the denali cluster in a version for the 99 silverado but doesnt have one for the 00-02 silverado i called them and they said they didnt have one for the 00-02 silverado (i thought it might not be listed)

would the 99 work in my 01 silverado?

also if i found one on ebay would any 00-02 denali cluster work in my 01 silverado 4.8

Take a look at JP Customs. As for the difference in 99 and 00-02 clusters, if install an 00-02 cluster in a 99 the airbag light will come on, happened to my Escalade cluster in my 99. The issue is a software issue which easily fixed by black tape (the cheapest) or taking it to Autocraft Electronics for reprogramming (expensive). I haved the stock Esky Cluster and I have to disagree with you about it being ricer look, If you want a 120 mph, trans temp cluster then a Denali or stock Esky Cluster will work for you both are black, the Esky might be a little bit on the dark navy color, almost black.

sorry if you misunderstood me or i said it the wrong way, what i meant was

i didnt want the escalde cluster because a lot of people that have nonstock clusters have escalade clusters - not riceish at all (it was actually the second choice if i couldnt find a denali cluster)

but i didnt want the white face cluster or stainless cluster or greenglo clusters - those are the riceish clusters i referred - that is what i have now it came in the truck when i bought it a week ago

I got my Denali Cluster for my 99 at JPCustoms.com, theirs are fixed to be plug and play...no worries about the air bag light or whatever else the differences are. It's been a few years, and so far so good
