descreened?

Default descreened?

whats does that mean a descreened maf?. i have a 99 chevy silverado 5.3 1500. does taking of the screen infront of the maf do anything, what are other free mods?

Yeah but don't waist your time, it won't do much and screws up the readings for the MAF. A TB bypass is much better.

Noob!!! J/K. It's a throttle body bypass. If you look at your TB, there are two coolant hoses that go in one direction, and right out the other (sorry, this is hard to explain without pics). This is to alow coolant to flow into the TB to warm the air from the air intake to help with cold starting. but since it's not that big of a deal, you can get a coolant hose connector (at an auto parts store) and connect the two together. This will cool the air a bit and won't do too much either, but it's basically free.

You could cut a small hole in the bottom of the air box for a little more flow as well.

i took thatoff i have the k&n and i took off the metal pice below it so the wheel well scoops up air,
anything else?

egr mod. pull the egr out and chop it down.
