Default I used a secewdriver

Mine was glue in there, but i just used a small thin screwdriver to pry it away from the edge. If i were you i would check around before i do it. Ive heard of a lot of ppl saying leave it in so the maf can read the right amount of air. The screen spreads it out over the wires to get a better reading.

This subject has been hashed to death, Leave it in for the love of god!!
Really though if it were worth it you would hear all the stories of glory saying how "MAN I GOT 15rwhp and 25ft.lb. of TQ from removing it."
I have nevr heard of anyone getting any real measureable gains from removing it.
Do the search and you will see all.

Oh hell while I'm at it forget the TB Bypass to its just stupid IMO.
I did it too though and un-did it the first month of winter.
