Default Dexcool in oil

Does dexcool in oil look like regular old coolant in oil? I drained my 5.3, it seemed to have more oil than it should (nearly 3 pans) and it was slimy and sticky. It was not the tan coffee look of water. I should have took some pics but oily digits and digital cameras do not mix. Jay

Did you not check the oil when you purchased it? that would have definitely been noticeable on the sticxk

If it had a bunch of coolant in the oil pan, and it's a pullout motor, I'd be looking for a new motor.

sound like it was pulled out due to a blown head gasket.

pull the heads and go from there. maybe was overfilled for storage reasons? I am thinking its most definitely head gasket. How do you know the vehicle it came from didnt have a trans cooler in the radiator?
