Default disappointed :( track time

The best I did was 16 flat on my truck. I took the tailgate and right headlight out. Well since it was my first time Im happy with that now I'm getting stuff done to lower that time. And a side note it's a 4 door 2500 with 305/40/22 wheels and tires. Next week I'm getting cut outs, super servo, new CAI,and tune. Will that be enough to knock at least 2 secs off?

well you have at least a 6000 pound truck on heavy 22's, thats not bad
my truck weighs probably 1500lbs less and i ran a 16.04 on my stock 17's(bone stock)
thats a good start, get some track tires a tune and you will be movin out for a large beast!

First of all congrats!! 16 is not bad at all with those monster wheels!! The 2500 is a heavy beast too!
If you really want to go fast lose he wheels, at least for the track. What is your final gear ratio? Maybe you can get down to a 15.x

well I'm not sure what gears are in it but I belive they're higher then regular 1500. I have my stock rims I can use to slap some drag tires unless there's a company out there that does 8 lug racing rims

so you have a 6.0, if so they are 4.10's
thats a tall tire too 31.6in, dropping to a 29-30 on a smaller rim for the track will really improve those times

The cutouts will help a ton on the top end, trust me on that.

A tune should make a noticeable difference too.

I'd say low 15s after you do both of those.

u dont need "drag tires" just some normal tires....... i recommend General Grabber UHP 255/ 65/ 16 ... that should give u approxmately 29inch height which is good for 4.10s.. with just a tune, u could see half a second (0.5 or better) off ur time. but i doubt u will get 2 seconds off with all that other stuff ur getting. a low 15.x would be a nice out of that truck, maybe high 14.x,... i ran a 14.4 with 20s, 3.73s, tune, underdrive pulley and no kitties. waitin to see what it will do with my stock 17s. hope at least a 14.2

I'm just thinking of getting a diessel 2500 reason for cause I'm not gonna get good times with a 4 door gas truck. I think that's the best for now prolly later get a rcsb :/
