Do headers just plain need to be tighted

Today i attempted to take the dam header off and i could'nt even get the rear bolt off maybe the wheel well should come out the way dont have a clue about that either im pissed the header bolt thats broke is the first one and im figuring if i can get the header at least off i have a shot at grabbing it with some vice grips i took the coolant temp sensor out the way and loosened some bracket near there b ut i just about give up today

Header bolts are supposed to be torqued to 18ft-lbs.
I had one break in the very back on the driver side and left the bitch, 3000 miles and no leaks. Used some hightemp RTV on gaskets and flange, no leaks. Good luck with removing them.

When you put the header bolts back in use antiseize.I used antiseize on my bolts for my 05 Gto torqued to 18 ft lbs and retorqued after a heat cycle and never had to touch them again.
