yep, GM stopped in 03. The boss is still there but sealed up. You have to cut it open and use a plate and screw to seal it back. Ive always wanted to do it, but dont want to buy a dremel just for this.

Not to get off subject, but hubby just got a Multi-Max for Christmas.. and I love it... Yeah I'm the one using it.

The cabin filter is a great thing to have, especially if you have allergies. You'll be amazed at how quickly it gets dirty. As mentioned, there's no retro-fit kit available, you have to cut the box and make your own. Go to the parts store or dealer and get a cabin air filter for a 99-03 Silverado...it's actually 2 filters that go in side by side. Install the first filter as far as it will go, then the next filter goes in the same way.
This thread reminds me that my cabin filter replacement is way overdue...I haven't replaced it since before I installed my center console, I'm curious to see how much more challenging it is to replace now

You beat me to it. I thought the cabin air filter was one of the best additions
to the trucks. I was so pissed when it was not included in the GMT900.
