Does Traction control cause control issues under sudden acceleration ?
Hope that is what it is. When I really punch it in my procharged Escalade, the front end seems to have a mind of its own, pulling quickly one way or another randomly. My mechanic says the wheel alignment is fine, so just wondering if traction control is doing this to me. The vehicle is AWD.
Only mods are headers, exhaust, procharger D1, and Yank 3000 TT. 0-60 approx 5 seconds so not a world beater, but fairly quick.
Just curious as to what is causing this, cuz it scares the outta me when it happens.
Thanks

The off/on button is on the right side of the center console. It is the one with squiggly lines on it, the other turns off the back up sensors. HTH Stabiltrak is like a hybrid active handling system for AWD, it will cause the brakes to pulsate, throttle to accel/dece, and engine to shut down if needed. With all the HP and TQ you have, it can come one easily on less than perfect traction.

That is exactly what is happening - having to fight the steering wheel.* Can I throw money at it, and if so, what would I do?I will try some more with the t/c button off, but I am afraid that is the issue - it only happens when I step on it hard, and now with the Yank I get the higher rpms that the procharger likes much quicker.* Doh...
