FORGET IT
if it got big, it would help them out. close shop for a day and not pay for any power/human resources.

What we REALLY need is an effective way to reduce consuption. Car pooling, better roads, less traffic, etc. I also think it should be against international law to have a cartel, but WTF do I know. I also think that if they are allowed to have a cartel, we should too. Lets see how much food they can grow in the middle east.

I'm not an economics major but whats gonna happen is there's gonna be a gas shortage on Thursday when everyone is at the pumps. Resulting in panic when the rumor starts spreading that there's a shortage of gas and everyone heads to the pumps. Stations run out, people continue to panic and everyone fills their cars, gas cans, lawnmowers etc.... to the brim. There is a national gas shortage rusulting in huge demand, low supply which equals crazy prices. We all sell our trucks, buy Huffy's and wonder why the Govt has so little control over gas prices. We had a mini gas crisis here in PHX not to long ago and it sucked hard.

and you are LIVING proof

Guys, I have a better idea. You all give me a million dollars, I retire and dont drive to work any more. That saves 30 gallons a week and 1500 gallons a year. That'll show them..

I hate to say it, but according to the laws of supply and demand; gas is still GROSSLY underpriced.

You would pay $5.00 a gallon for gas and they would happily sell it at that price.. (after that I think there would be a drastic change in our gas consuption).

Unfortunately, the fact that there is ZERO competition fuxors those rules in their favor. I still say we (modern nations) stop sending them food, cars, computers, clothing and everything else we produce. Lets see if they can eat oil.
