Not a truck guy currently, although I used to have a GMC Typhoon, so I guess that applies. By far the best dragstrip pointer I could give you is to leave on the third yellow. If you wait for the green, you're late! Tests have shown that human reaction times are in half second increments, so if your eye sees the green before you let off of the brake/trans brake you are already late on the tree. I always leave on the third yellow in my '67, and have handfulls of .509-515-501-501's to back that theory up. Hope this helps.

Leave on third yellow, if you red light you either staged to deep (rolled on in after staged light lit) or you have a 60' time of a protruck.
Mostly have a good time.
Any racers going to SAR this month Ignore this post... leave on the green.

Thanks for the tips guys. I hope that I can get more traction at the track than I do on the street. I sneeked on the track when it was closed & it has a whole lot of rubber all the way down the track so I hope it will help. I plan on
, like Seeing Red Again said, pump my tires up in the from & let my rear down to 26psi to hopefully aid in traction. I imagine after I get back from the track it will be time to rotate the tires again
