Drive-By-Wire override?

Drive-By-Wire override?
I heard some competition of mine mention a new part that he found on summit racing's site or jegs, or something like that...anyways, it's supposed to eliminate the lag that you get when you put the petal to the floor. Normally when you punch it, a signal is sent from the petal to the computer, and then from the computer to the throttle...With this override, a petal to the floor means a wide open throttle without processing through your trucks computer. Has anyone heard of this or can anyone tell me more about it?

Hello, welcome to the board.
The throttle body is controlled by the pcm. No way around it but a good tune will pretty much eliminate any throttle response lag, at least I don't notice any.
Stick around, use the search, enjoy.
