Default Driver Side Controls not lighting up- any ideas? 2004 Suburban

I have a 2004 Suburban with the whole Z71 package. One issue on the interior is that a lot of the controls have bulbs not lit. Not sure if they have all died, or if it’s something connecting them.

the following are not lit, but still operate fine…
4WD Control module
headlight control module
fog light/dimming switch module
all four steering wheel button units
HVAC Unit

the Radio and the Dash Cluster work fine

any ideas?

Left side in the dark

Left side with flash

Steering wheel dark

They're crappy little bulbs and in my limited experience they burn out easily. I've replaced the ones in my A/C control and steering wheel buttons and one in the A/C control has already gone bad again. The ones in the radio still work because the radio isn't original to my truck.

They're not too bad to replace but what does suck is replacing the little blue caps on the bulbs. The old ones are almost always burnt up/crispy so you may want to buy new ones and save yourself some headache.

I did the instrument cluster and HVAC control module LED upgrade on my 06 suburban. It's pretty easy to do, the only thing is the LEDs are polarity specific, so if they don't light up, just reinstall them reversed. I think it was like $25-$30

The steering wheel controls LED upgrade is on my to-do list.

I have replace the headlamp switch like 3 times on my current truck because the bulbs just die inside it. I already did the steering wheel controls too.

Why would you replace the switch and not the bulb itself?
