Default E- Fan Help

new to the forum as well as the truck scene im wanting to do e-fans on my 2004 rcsb 5.3 ive been trying to find a little bit of info on what i need to get this done ive seen posts about different radiator sizes vs ls1 or 05+ truck fans is there any way to find out how big the radiator is without actually measuring it and if anyone has any info on a harness or who makes them or if i can make it myself any info helps i appreciate it

dont quote me but i think the rad is measured by the core width you should be able to just hold the tape up to the top of the fan shroud and eye ball the edges for the core and see what it measures think ther are only two sizes avalible in the half ton pkups 05+ require a 34in rad from what ive seen not sure bout ls1 fans...and as far as harness goes a number of sponsors over to the right side here have harnesses for sale or if your faily good at wiring i dont think they are to bad to make one i know ive seen a diagram on here some where to make one.. personaly id just buy a harness thay way you know its rite just plug and play afer you get the fan controll turned on in the computer...

Being an 04 you should have a 28" radiator. LS1 fans will fit the 28" and 34" so you cant go wrong there.
If your lookin for an excuse to go big you can get a 34" rad and fans out of a 05+. Fans and radiator bolt right in factory holes. Very very easy.

For wiring go with a Black Bear Performance harness or build your own.
Heres a write up i did to simplify it if your new to wiring

Dont forget a tune for the PCM to complete everything

No they wont bolt in.
But you can make some simple brackets to hold them in.

I think when i did lt1 fans i just cut out a 4"x4" peice of 1/8" plate and drilled a hole in opposite corners. Bolted it to the core support and the other to the fan shroud. Worked good for a couple years till i upgraded to the 34" stuff.
