I had this same problem earlier in the year. This liquid crap they put down here in northern VA had ate my truck alive! It never had rust until they started using this stuff a couple years ago.

This is why my trucks are parked every year when the salt is out.

I can't stand when they salt and spray , especially for no reason on a warm day , it makes me want to go postal .

Better than stainless?!? While I'm not a tech, didn't know such a thing existed. If copper is in it, it's gotta be expensive.

+1?

Not everyone can park their trucks. When I can, if I ever can, it's gettin new lines, sheetmetal, & paint job. Again, if I ever can, that'll be a ways off & expensive.

Yes imo the ni/cop is better than stainless. My shop gets it from our parts supplier, I believe the brand is cnc. It looks like jegs is carrying their own brand now as well. Also I suggest if you work in a shop or plan on doing alot of these to get a hydraulic flaring kit, cuts alot of time down and makes a consistent flare. The one I have does bubble, double flare, quick disonnect flares, and gm o ring flares.

The Copper Nickel stuff is way better than stainless. It bends and flares much easier and absolutely does not rust. I believe Volvo's have been using it for years as they need to survive those harsh Swedish winters.

Inline Tube. They fit great, except they were for 4WD, I think. Still, with a little stretching around the left upper A-frame pivots, they worked. Everything else was perfect.

If I had to do all those flares and bends in stainless myself, I definitely would have acted on my plan. It is to drive to Detroit, find the bean counter that decided to use such rust-prone steel for brake lines, and clamp his ********* in a vise.
