Re: Electric fan setting with 160* stat?
I just got my Flexalite 282's installed along with a 160° thermostat and got everything adjusted. I just adjusted the fans so they wouldn't short cycle.(come on and off in short intervals)
They are set now so they come on for about 30 seconds and then they stay off for about 55 seconds. Set like this the temperature needle hovers around the big hash mark directly in between 160 and 210. Before with the clutch fan and stock thermostat the needle would stay 1.5 small hashes below the 210 mark. When your adjusting the temp make sure to keep the hood closed to simulate real world conditions. I had mine adjusted great with the hood up and when I shut the hood and checked it everything was messed up. I had to start over again.
I think you should just get them set where the fans cycle on and off good and maybe put on an override switch if you want to turn them on manually like for at the track.
I love the flexalite controller. It's makes aftermarket fans just as nice as a factory setup.

BTW - This was all done while idling. I haven't taken it out on the road yet to check things out.
