Here is the parking brake info I got.
I guess there is a kit that has all you need inside it already... greese... pads etc...
Im not sure I just went with the pads...

My dad has a 2002 Suburban and it failed inspection because the e-brake didn't work at all.He took it to the dealership and they said on the newer body style's the e-brake has a different setup from the older models and has it was digging into the rotors and the wiring got all fried.Problem is now fixed and the Burban passed inspection with no problem.Weird though.

I just went through all that. But the kit for ONE SIDE was $79 at the dealer. They are a PITA to get off. You have to rotate the drum out of the hub. When you get ready to do it, let me know and I'll walk you through the process of getting the ebrake drum off.
