Engine hours
Recently while going through my cluster info (trip odo, mileage, fuel used etc.) I got to the engine hours info and found that my engine hours were 24.5 hours??? I have 13,000 miles on my truck and the last time I looked at my engine hours it was about 340 hrs. This is not supposed to reset until 999,999 hrs. Also while driving my truck around the same time I think this may have happened (the reset) I pulled away from a light and the truck wouldn't upshift normally? I let up on the gas because I couldn't figure out what happened and it upshifted. I tried it again and couldn't duplicate this at all. Everything seemed fine. I didn't put these two things together until I was thinking about it later and am not sure they are related but who knows? Has anybody else experienced this? My truck runs great and no problems other than this and it hasn't happened since.
Thanks
Jim

He's right, if these were real numbers, you'd be the man

Just an update on the engine hour reset problem. GM knows about it and is working on it. The service information document ID number is 1965479
Subject IPC Engine Hour Meter Resets-keyword cluster DIC display hourmeter intermittent startup.
Some owners may comment of the IPC engine hours resetting. This concern may be very intermittent and normally occurs at key up and/or start up.
Recommendation/Instructions: GM Engineering is aware of this concern and working on a correction.
Has anybody else had this happen?
