I did this using the guy formerly known as 02denali's advice.
The bracket that holds the window "clasp" is too flimsy so it bends out. The screw pulls the bracket back in. If you take off the door panel, you will see how it works. You do need a 2 or 2.5 inch screw. I first drilled right through the center of the bracket. Then, I drilled a pilot hole and used a sheet metal screw. You don't need to overdo it, so don't over tighten it. I did it this way and it eliminated the noise and I can still open the window.
I didn't want to take the door panel off, but once you do, you will see where the screw goes. Just unsnap the clasp from that pin so the windows can swing open more. Its still a tight fit for drilling

if you use a black 3" drywall style screw and heat the head of it up with a lighter before you tighten it up you can actually sink the head of the screw flush and it'll be even less noticable, thats how I do them at the dealership I work for.....and just another reason why I bought a crew instead of an ext cab

That was the exact same pic I was trying to post but my camera sucks and I think the pics were too big. That is the same thing I did to my truck and it fixed it real nice like!!!
