Very smooth, i have a 2001 and i only wish it looked that good. Have your ever considered painting your front bumper cover, airdam, grill(that black part around the chrome bowtie bar) and side mirrors? I've painted it all on mine except the mirrors, which i'm going to do soon. It does clean it up a good bit....i can try to get you some pics of mine if you'd like.
