Default First kill since the Turbo (EVO8)

Rollin home I get behind an EVO8 at the stoplight which is behind a big F350 style worktruck loaded to the brim. We both pull away form the light and immediately go around the big slow truck and continue to the next stop sign. As we near the sign I pull into the right lane sine most cars in this area make the next right turn and there always little mini races to see who is going to get to merge first. You guys know the game

As we both pull away from the stop sign slowly I start to pull ahead a little so i hear him downshift and without missing a beat I mashed the pedal, I figured I needed all the head start I can get due to my lag and we both shoot forward but i immediately pull ahead and he ends up staying in his lane instead of getting into the right turn lane. Ahead is a nice 2 lane road with a stop sign and just enough room to get up to about 70 or so before hitting the next stop sign.

He pulls up next to me and is checking out the rear of the truck and shaking his head. He is like "is that thing supercharged?" I laughed then told him it was a rear mount turbo and he said "man I heard all the noise coming from the rear and was like WTF?" LOL So he asked if I wanted to go again so I told him sure but lemme put it in 4wd so it's fair and he abliged and even let me spool up to about 5psi He sat there staring at the rear of the truck listening to the turbo when I waved him on and gave him the leave then I nailed it. I shot right passed him and he stayed about a car length back for a sec then I slowly started to pull away as I got into my powerband but we had to shut it down.

We met up at the next light and he was still shaking his head like he couldn't believe he just got beat by a 4x4. He was really cool and kept saying "Man I can't believe you did that" and "Ohh man, you didn't" like he was in disbelief that I just won... twice. LOL

He was pretty cool so I consider it a good race

Thx guys

greentahoe, Right now I can't afford to break anything so I don't wanna push the limits. The truck is running real rich on 13psi right now just to be safe but I think anything more than about 15psi is gonna require the methanol. I am still on my stock 4L60E so I'm afraid if I push hard the trans will go that much faster. I am thinking that durring this winter when the air around here gets really good that I will start pumping it up and see if I can dip into the 11s on boost only. Heres to hopng
