First time down the track!
I took my 2005 Silverado 1500 CC 5.3L out for the first time last night. Air was cool at 49 degrees with a 5-7 mph head wind. My truck is all stock except for 4:10 gears, hollowed out cats, magna flow muffler, CAI, and a bully dog tune set on 87oct. 20" enkei wheels with 275x55x20 Michelin tires.
First run:
60' - 2.43
330' - 6.62
1/8 - 10.07 @ 71.61 mph
1000' - 13.09
1/4 - 15.67 @ 87.57
Second run:
60' - 2.45
330' - 6.64
1/8 - 10.08 @ 72.05 mph
1000' - 13.07
1/4 - 15.63 @ 88.08
So I am not sure what all this means so that is why I posted so ya'll can help me understand it. I want my truck to break 14.00 so every punk with there stock mustang will be saying oh sh%$! This is my everyday driver so i need it to be reliable. Were do i go from here?

Yeah being the first time to track I really did not know what to expect. I wish i could go run it some where else but SAR is the only track around SA. I just want a truck that runs in the 13's. So I am really not sure what my next step would be. Should I do head and cam work or a Turbo kit? I have heard that the stock heads and cam limit the amount of boost you can run on a turbo. So should I do a cam and head work first then the turbo?

I ran a 13.85 with those mods minus the stall. As soon as that goes in I am gunning for a 13.1-2. Granted I have the 6.0 and that was in good weather, but I would think a 5.3 could definitely pull off a sub 14 where you are.
The way I see it you are probably good for damn near a half second from long tubes and a real tune, more on a stock truck, but you did gain SOMETHING from the bully dog, even if it wasnt a ton. Then the cam/stall will be good for another second or more depending on how extreme it is and if the combo works well together.
