Angry F'n COPS!

this is just a long rant. if your not in the mood click the back button

to start off, i have never had any problems with cops. im not some punk kid with a shitty attitude and anyone who has met me will agree. not saying ive never had a ticket, but when i do get one i respect the cop and know that i deserved it.

today me and a buddy were cruisin to get some lunch. i see a cop a good ways ahead of me so i slowed up a little to be at the speed limit(im always about 10 over). the cop was on a side road waiting for a gap to pull onto the road. after i passed him he pulled in behind me and we stopped at a red light. i look in the rear view and can tell hes lookin up my plates and i was like big deal, hes just doin his job or whatever... we left that light and we ended up next to each other and he had some idiot lookin kid in the back seat and the cop was on his cell phone.

anyways i turned left and the cop went straight. no more than 100 yards another cop rolled in behind me on his cell phone. he followed me about 4 miles before he decided to pull me over. i figured it was a blown brake light or something like that. cop comes up and asks for my license and insurence. i only had my insurance with me cuz i just got done washing my truck and took out my wallet. i asked what i was getting pulled over for and he said that the other officer PACED me going 50 in the 40!!! in the back of my mind i was thinking ok, im getting a warning and maybe a ticket for not having my license with me...big deal.

cop came back from his car with a ticket for speeding and no license!!! i was still pretty calm at that point and simply said "look, im normally not the kind to try and argue, but theres no way that that cop paced me going 50 in the 40....i knew he was back there the whole time". the cop got all cocky and said "well you can take this to court if you feel its unfair." thats where i got kinda pissed, but still bit my tongue.

i snatched the ticket book out of his hand and sighned. while i was signing i was talking to my friend and said that my lawier was going to have a field day with this. the cop didnt like that too much(he thought i was talking to him ) when i handed him the ticket he gave me my copy and he said have a nice day like a *****. heres my favorite part.

i had my cutout open but you cant tell i even have exhaust at idle as soon as he turned to go back to his car and was next to the bed of my truck i dropped into gear and gave it the gas pretty aggressively(just enough to not break the tires loose). the rumble scared the **** out of him!!! i laughed so hard as i looked into my rear view. he looked extreemly pissed . i had to do a u turn to get out of the neighborhood and laughed even harder when i saw the "look" i was getting. i didnt let him see though.

my lawier will have a field day with this ticket. i dont know what i did to make the first cop want to jack with me. something was going on though because the two cops were talking to each other on their cell phones instead of the motorolas. the first cop was never even close enough to me to get a "pace" on me.

im really starting to have a different view of cops. first they never showed up to my hit and run incident, then this ****! **** police

When you start cutting Federal funding, the states have to make it up somehow/somewhere. The easiest way is to lean on police departments to write more tickets.

If they asked to search ya and you know your not hiding anything ........... deny the search. I denied one when I lived back home in MN. officer told me to hold tight to get a warrant for suspicion for me deniing it. Ended up gettin warrant and did his little search found nuthin of course cuz I am clean. I ended up mssing work for that whole thing and almost got fired cuz I could not call in. My dads personal attorney for his work filed a claim for me with the state patrol............... ended up getting a whole weeks pay from the state for all the trouble the officer put me through.

You need to be careful with some of them. I got arrested for a "suspended" drivers license in my truck. I loved spending a few hours in county for no reason. I went to court with my lawyer and it was all dismissed but sure didn't make things better. I think the worst part was I was on they way to the hospital where my little brother had just gotten his bilateral bone flaps in his skull put back in.

So are you going to say that to all the Verterans out there?

I do think that's bullshit on the ticket. I'd fight it and question that procedure.

Sorry to hear BUT, I don't see anything wrong with that cop's actions. First of all you were driving with no license. Doesn't matter if you are a licensed driver or not, if you can't show proof that you are a licensed driver, you deserve to get a citation. You are actually really lucky because that cop could have easily taken your truck away from you until you were able to show a driver's license. Second, you complained about the cop giving you a ticket for doing 50 in a 40. You already said earlier in your post that you always do 10 over the limit. Why are you surprised the cop got you at 10 over the limit if you already confessed about that? You are also lucky that the cop didn't stop you again for accelerating hard after he left you. Overall, I think the cop was actually pretty cool with you. He could have charged you with alot more stuff based on your actions. Sometimes people have to admit to their bad judgements! BTW, snatching tickets from a cop's hand is not very smart either.

i agree. if you read it all the way i said i was expecting a ticket for no license. i would have accepted that.

You are actually really lucky because that cop could have easily taken your truck away from you until you were able to show a driver's license.
i gave him my license #. he can punch that into his computer sitting in his dash or radio it into the dispatcher and know everything about me.

im suprised because he never got me on radar, he never followed close enough to get a pace on me because not far after he turned onto the road there was a red light, and I WASNT SPEEDING. i saw the cop car so far ahead that theres no way he could have noticed a was cruising a little faster than the speedlimit.

You are also lucky that the cop didn't stop you again for accelerating hard after he left you
sure he coulda. ateast he woulda given me a ticket i deserved (besides no license). i figure he didnt because he knows both of the tickets before arent guna hold up in court and he didnt want to make it look like he was harassing me.

Sorry to hear that. Sometimes you get a bad cop (or two) by chance. I know what your saying, something is obviously very fishy about BOTH of them being on their cell phones.. basically he was saying to the other cop, hey, i got someone in the back of my car and theres a punk kid in a real loud truck so come pull him over and tell him he was going 10 over.

Idk, sometimes they are just out to get ya. And when they pull your license plate, if your the registered driver, all your information that would be on your license shows up. You giving them your license is more of an ID type thing to make sure its really you.

But hey, let us know what comes of this when you get your day in court good luck.
