Well why they aren't always fool proof, it is possible than that he may have hit you with a laser. Thats how they nabbed me.

file a harrassment case against him. Even if you don't win it will inconvenience the hell out of him....turn about is fair play after all. Unless he can prove his speedo is dead accurate and calibrated regularly.......'pacing' a car is not adequate.

I had one like that dismissed several years ago when I drove my t/a. Cop was on the main lanes of Beltway 8 (elevated) and I was on the feeder road. He supposedly 'paced' me doing 80mph. I am not saying I wasn't speeding but needless to say I pled not guilty and the judge dismissed it without a trial. The judge actually shook his head......

Take it to court and splain it to the judge. I am sure they will dismiss it. He just did it to be a ***** and inconvenience you. Like I said return the favor......Harrassment.......

He stared and radioed ahead to another trooper who waited on me up ahead. I was then pulled over by both troopers. They both seemed to be in their lower 20's and proceeded to tell me that I can not just pull out and "blow an officer off the road". The roads had a few patches of water after a short shower and he told me "unsafe people like you cause accidents that kill". I was very annoyed at this point, but I kept my cool. fyi----------it is illegal(in Texas) to speed up when a person is trying to pass you, therefore the trooper broke the law.

i got laser detection. he never got me gunned me with radar, laser or any other 11 bands there could be.

anyways the ticket is being taken care of. its slipping through the cracks if you will. i might be getting a phone call from the officer who "paced" me to give me a good *** chewing for looking at his prisoner wrong. me and my friend looked over at the kid in his back seat because he looked like an idiot. the cop thought we were jacking with his prisoner and put another cop on us(i have dark tint and he couldnt tell for sure). the other cop needed a reason to pull me over so he said i was paced, which i never was...i dont know why he decided to ticket me for that but im not guna ask any questions. im just glad it worked out for me.

WTF? What an a$$hole!! I had a similar incident. I was driving into downtown on 288 and there was a HPD car 2 lanes over doing under the posted 60 mph limit. I was going at around 63 and was passing him up and he cuts in front on me and starts tapping his brakes. I was like WTF!!! I changed lanes and he sped up. I came up on him again and he starts tapping his brakes again, like I was speeding. I look at my speedo and nope - I'm going 58-60 mph!! Anyways, I come up on my exit at the 45/59 split and was in the lane next to him doing about 55 and punched the $hit out of it at the exit. I saw that a$$hole hit his brakes, but it was too late, cause I was on the exit ramp which is elevated above 45, where he was. I know he was a pissed off SOB!! Well **** him, what kind of police officer plays games with people driving down the highway, while they are DRIVING THE SPEED LIMIT!!! I know technically I was speeding 2-3 mph over the speed limit, but that's not the point. That piece of **** pulls a stupid stunt that could have easily caused an accident. I guess if I was a cop, that I would be BETTER than everyone else and I WOULDN'T have to follow the laws, like everyone else has to. I so sick of them busting our ***** on traffic infringements, when they can't and will not obey them theirselves!!

Sometimes you get a cool cop and sometimes you get a real *****. About a month and a half ago I get popped for 93 in a 55, well as soon as I saw the cop whip it around to come pull me over I just pulled over immediately. The guy came up to my door and asked me if I knew why he pulled me over and I was like yup sure do. I was very honest and cool with him about it and he was being pretty damn cool about it as well so he takes my license and **** goes back to his car which seemed like forever and he comes back and gives me my ticket which he knocked all the way down to a 65 in a 55 which was really nice of him. My tags were also expired and he let that go too, I was happy to say the least.

Default Cops in general

Well after reading all of the posts on cops....I agree that most are A**holes. I can say this cause I am one...a cop. One of the posts stated the good guys are out doing their jobs, which is true. Most of the idiots are out doing traffic and moving violations. The good guys, and myself, distance away from the others and try to do the most for our bosses, the TAXPAYERS. People enpower the police, I remember this. People dont remember me for the good, they remember for the bad. I have had my fair share of complaints against me, for example the color thing, I was profiling, etc...what a crock. For the cop to pace you....thats garbage. U cant do it period, the grey matter is to much. For example defective equipment in the cruiser, air pressure in the tires, weight in the car, speedo out of calibration, etc..The cop could have written you for excessive speed, but writing you for specific speed and making the statement,is heresay. The information came third party. I call it, make sure the creative report writing is done. I have been on both sides of the call, 1 dealing with and backing up the idiots for their actions and 2 for being the supervisor and dealing with the complaints against them and in disciplining the officers if found the bounds of their actions were out of justification. Not a good place to be on my part.

But dont take it too heart, just think of the others out there allowing your safety and security at night. Stopping the DWI's, burglarys, and violant crimes being committed. If you have anything else and/or want to know on this, PM me anytime. One last thing for the speeding tickets, you as a defendant have the right to face your accuser. So in reality, the radar gun and laser are your accusers. So think and say, "how is an inanimate object (not real) being able to testify against me?" This is kinda a loophole in the system. Use it wisely.

Sorry to hear about the ticket that's never fun. Cops don't have the best job and I respect them until they go off on power trips. What it boils down to is I have NEVER not even one time in my life had a cop do a nice thing for me whether it's being broken down on the side of the road they don't stop or just bullshit harrasment. They don't do jackshit in my town as far as stopping criminals. There presence is about it. 99 percent pussies IMO. I am not at all impressed with law enforcement. They don't wanna go search a drug dealers home but they will crack down on music that's to loud. Then they give you the speeding tickets aren't for revenue bullshit. They act like they are so compassionate about you dricing safely. Bastards. Yeah I respect the good cops all 10 of them.
