I found that out while doing about 90-95 MPH one night I was on a deserted highway that had no lights about 11PM. I turned the light on quick to see something and then for some reason I hit it twice to turn it off. If you throught you heard something scream "oh sh*t" on an April night about 2 years ago that was me!

Only on 00-02, doesn't work on 99's....(nothing works on 99's...different cam, different injectors, different tuning.... )

I've been there.

'99's are just more of a challenge....and that makes it much more satisfying when you DO get something to work right on them

In '99 there WAS a bigger difference between the 4.8/5.3 and the 6.0 than in later years.....except for the crank most everything on the '99/'00 6.0's is pretty much the same as '01+ so look for those parts to swap out

This is true...I'm starting to get a nice collection of 02 parts on mine...pcm, injectors, 03 145amp alternator, etc.

I took care of this mod last night ('05 Sierra). Only takes a few minutes to take the 2 screws off the panel to get under the dash, insert the diode, turn the lights on to make sure it's all good and then put the panel back.

Only problem I have now is that I've gone crazy cleaning the truck over the last few days. Now it is to clean to drive! I'll bite the bullet and get it dirty tomorrow. At least the roads are fairly clean up here now.

Mine just stays dirty most of the winter. If I had an inside wash booth with hot water, plasma tv w/ DVD, beer fridge and a couch, I might keep mine a little cleaner
One day......one day.

I first set it up for the fogs to come on with the low beams. Did this after I installed the 6000k HIDs in the lows. I didn't like the yellow light from the highs when I turned them on so they got the same HIDs and I also set it up so the lows and fog lights would stay on with the high beams. Yup... it's just like daytime when all of those lights are on!!! Now I just have to wait for an H-10 HID to come out to take care of those too.

The diode upgrade only take a few minutes and some pocket change to do. One of the girls at work saw how bright the truck was tonight. At first she said something about me driving one of those annoying cars that blind her but I did get her to admit that they look good
