You'll never believe what happened to me the other day on Highway 290 in NW Houston... I was traveling North bound (on my way out to Hempstead, delivering parts) when I noticed the oddest thing up infront of me. See, I was flyin' low in the left lane, as is the rule of thumb around here, when I noticed in the center lane something that looked pretty odd. It was a white crewcab superduty ford 4x4 all jacked up n' **** (looked like a Fabtech kit, sweet) with what appeared a first glance to be a big black plastic igloo. See... the dude had his tailgate up and it must have been catchin' some major air 'cause it was all forced up under the bedliner causing it to bow up in the middle and lift off floor of the bed. It was floppin' n' flappin' n' floatin' 'round (say that really really fast three times) like you wouldn't believe. First thing I thought was, "Dude! what a f..." (Opps, might be some kids lurking about.) Second thing I thought was, "Dude, buy some screws." (Insert Beavis and Butthead flashback here: he,he,he Dude, he said "screws." he,he,he) Third thing I thought was, "Lunch!" So, I dart across three lanes of traffic with no signal, as is the rule of thumb around here, and hit he Mickey D's!! Wham, bam, thankyou ma'am. Had some of those NEW all White meat nuggets that taste EXACTLY the same as the old ones did and I head back out on the road. Still got those parts to deliver you see. So I'm flyin' low in the left lane, jammin' to the oldies station (cause they have traffic updates every 15 minutes) When all of a suddin' I heard, "... and we have reports of a bedliner in the center lane of 290 north bound near Hollister..." Holy ****!!! I was rollin! LMAO, yes I was! When what happens next?!?!?! All I see are brakelights. Big ones, small ones, bright ones and dim ones. And I began to realize... that I had just passed Antione and that that darn bedliner was causing a traffic jam that I was now STUCK in!!!
