there seems to be a serious disparity in times with the new Hemi.....I'm not sure I would want to be a Dodge performance rep..."yea, she'll do the quarter in, oh, somewhere between 14.3 and 16.6"...that places it squarely between a Camaro and a Kia
If Dodge can't build a performance truck that can run consistant times between multiple vehicles of the same type the I for one will NEVER buy one...EVER
IF Dodge can get it's act together the Hemi look to be a killer street truck (and it's cheaper than the V10)...and it certainly has better styling than the '03's (sorry guys...the '03 Chevy front-end just doesn't do it for me)

I will agree with you on the 03 front ends.As far as the difference in times,it's all about elevation and weather.

A friend of mine bought a brand new Hemi crewcab 2wd Dodge. Even the same color as my truck! We raced twice and my lifted GMC on 33" tires still put two and a half truck lengths on that "Hemi" from 0 to 90 mph. All my truck has is a UPD intake, nothing else. Those Hemi's are overrated!

The Mayor of Truckville got owned again!

I figured those hemis were overated. I read in Car and Driver or R&T that the Hemi engine isnt even really a hemi, its just for marketing. The new heads on the "hemi" are not even hemispherical and have a different design.

So a 5.7 liter hemi that is rated at 345hp at the flywheel only put out 262 to the wheels? My 03 5.3 with UPD, Corsa exh. and ASM's made 268 to the wheels. So does that mean I have 345hp to the wheels? Probably not..SO whats with Dodge's hp ratings? Something sounds fishy?

Hey creederado. You actually saw that hemi run a 15.12. If so thats not too bad for such a large truck.
