What about running a length of hose to right behind the rear license plate like some of the cars of yester-year? I'm guessing your probably not carrying your spare anymore and if you kept the tank a foot or two forward of the bumper I wouldn't expect it to be any more dangerous then the factory location. Just thinking out loud but it would be different.

I'd love to do that but the license plate is lower than the fill hole on my fuel cell.

License plate fill wouldn't work on our trucks since the bumper/license plate is so low.

Hense why i love my custom built one of a kind cell!!!!!!!! I use the stock fill location.....hahahahahaaaaa

The filler neck is a short one from an older OBS truck i think.. if i remember that right! I welded a spout on the cell, that pipe is just exhaust pipe, and i had to notch the bed rails for it to sit high enough to let the fuel flow.
