Ron's machining service is a sponsor/vendor here (i think), and he has very good prices and fast shipping. Check the banner on the right.

I've heard nothing but great things about Ron's...99% of the members here who change gears/diffs get them from him. If you have any other gear questions, the GM Drivetrain and Suspension section would be the place to ask

alright i have had no luck. my pressure is still staying low

installed new sending unit/ pump
filter
fuel pressure regulator

i am still holding around 20 psi 30 if im lucky. but the only thing i found that is confusing me the most is that i only have 5 volts at the plug for the pump. so shouldnt i have 12? if so could 5 volts not pump enough to let it go and but just enough to let it start and stay idling?
plz any help this truck is really coming up to the point of being gone!!

You should have 12v at the pump. I'm really not sure what would be reducing voltage unless you have a bad ground somewhere. Did you do anything wiring wise to ANY part of the truck before all the fuel pressue problems started? There are grounds all over the place. Usually on the back of the cylinder heads are ones that get missed.

A friend of mine had the same problem. We ended up running our own wiring off a relay directly to the pump, fixed his problem.

Let me clarify, you should have 12v power to the pump. The harness connection to the pump that triggers it to come on may only be 5v.

alright so idk what the problem was but to start with i took apart the stock fuel assembly and replaced just the actual fuel pump inside the assembly and it worked half *** and i wasnt getting the pressure. so then i moved onto the fuel pressure regulator, and that didnt work. so pissed off i went into the local parts store and just bought the whole oem replacement and it worked just great. so i guess im just letting yall kno, even tho i have no idea what difference a plastic housing made but it worked..

so anyway thanks for all the input
