Default Funny rattling noise

When I'm on the highway doing over 50 mph, there seems to be a rattling noise which is coming from the passenger cowl area. It almost sounds like the windshield wiper is moving around, but its not. Anyone else experience this noise?

I have that one and a bunch of other weird noises. My rattling is probably coming from the screw driver bit and extension that I dropped in there and never found.

Have someone push on the glovebox door while your driving to see if that's it. My Dads D-max rattles the hell outta the glovebox mainly at idle but, that the only thing close to what your talking about I've ever heard rattle.

I Dont Know If This Helps, But I Know Some Friends That Used To Have The Same Problem, They Took Off Their Bugshield And The Noise Went Away???? I Guess The Way Some Bugshields And Designed The Air Hits Right Inbetween The Windshield And The Plastic And Makes It Sound Like That???(that Is What They Said?). My Aunt Had The Same Problem On Her 04 Ford And I Told Her About It And Sure Enough That Was The Problem..... I Wouldn't Know Cause I Dont Have A Bugshield????

Talking

it is the plastic piece surrounding the antenna. i put a screw in mine that had a bigger head on it and tightened it down some more.

Yep, the coolant lines with air in them make noise also. There was some talk on how to remedy this a long time ago on here. Basically just a technique to bleed the system.

I didn't think about the bug shield and antenna thing but, those are definately things that make noise.

Does it possible sound like rocks hitting the windshield?

Have a bug shield ?

There are 2 things making noise

There are rubber pieces that cover the hood hinges - at speeds over 50 - they will flop and hit the bottom of the hood - make noise - silicone them in place to the hinge

Also the windshield mouldings on either side - flop against the glass - will make a popping noise
remove the mouldings - apply double sided tape to the moulding - reinstall the moulding - and press the moulding to the glass - tape it in place for couple hours.

There are TSB's on both items above.
Drove me crazy for 6 months - til I fixed them -
