I found a G-Tech Pro Meter for sale on ebay for $50.00. Is this a good price? Do they work and if so, are they worth the money? Just interested.

Yes, I owned one, and they are within about .1 to .2 seconds accurate. Only thing is that you really need a flat road to test with, or it will be inaccurate as hell. And $50 for a G Tech Pro is realy realy good price.

if this is what you are talking about? go for it. i know Gtech has a couple of units out. this is the Gtech competition pro meter. it usually sells for about $250. that is what i payed for it when it 1st came out. for $50, that's a steal.

I think he is talking about the regular one. I bought one myself off ebay from a seller who's name is something like "gtech" or something with gtech in it for around the same price. When I went to the track and ran a 14.98, the gtech said 15.07. I also ran a 15.00 and the gtech said 15.12. So its pretty close. I use it mostly for tuning. The MPH was way off tho, like 3-4 mph. But I think it works pretty good for something you just plug in to the lighter socket!

The trap time is off because it takes the mph at 1320 feet, instead of averaging the last 60' feet to calculate the mph, like at the track. So that's why your mph reads a bit higher.
