Default Gas Gauge Problem

After getting my truck dyno tuned yesterday i started to head home fom the shop (70 mile drive). When i left the shop i had 1/2 tank and as i drove home i slowly watched it rise up 3/4 tank. Then this morning i went to fill the truck up with gas and after i do it reads empty with the low fuel light on, so i decide to drive around to see wtf is going on....i burn up about 4 gal. cruising around town and the peg on the gauge moves off of empty just a **** hair back towards full. So my gas gauge is reading backwards...full is empty/empty is full. What gives? BTW the pcm we tuned came off a tahoe because my other was vin locked by a previous tuner and now my security light stays on in the cluster. Could this gauge prob be from the tune, cluster, sending unit or because of the security light?

Ive already tried disconnecting the battery cables overnight.

Sounds like the sender in the tank is bad, although it could be the stepper motor in the gauge. The sender in the tank is a common problem though...

That is very interesting...I didn't think that tuning the PCM could have that affect on the gauges though, but I could be wrong...have you mentioned this to the person who tuned it?
