Update: I figured out what the prob is...i think. I got a check engine light soon after the gas gauge prob and after i had the truck tuned. Pulled the code: p0178, fuel compensation sensor, which came on flex fuels to determine if your running regular gas or E85. My truck isnt flex fuel so it doesnt have the sensor. I got to thinkin about it and the tahoe pcm thats currently in my truck has a Z in the 8th digit on my receipt from the wrecking yard, meaning that the tahoe my pcm came from was a flex fuel. So im guessing that since my pcm is from a flex fuel vehicle and my truck doesnt have that sensor from the flex fuel vehicles its causing this prob. Cleared the code and it keeps coming back so next time its tuned the sensor will be turned off. I hope this is whats causing the gas gauge prob too. This make sense...been for a lil while lol.
