I have heard some of the old timers talking about a magnet that wraps around your fuel line. It is suppose to line up the particals in the fuel and add like 2 mpg. I dont see where we have the room but I have seen it on a Jeep and the owner said it helped a bunch.

Really? Because it actually increased my gas mileage.
Good study though, I admit not all things were equal in my comparison, I mean, when my tailgate was off there possibly could've been variables that increased my MPG that were absent when I had it on...so that could have skewed the results. But I dunno, I still think either putting the tailgate down or just taking it off altogether got me better MPG.

I have read about this too. I wish I had the website, maybe someone will post it.
I've also heard of this contraption you put in the fuel line which vaporizes the fuel more efficiently resulting in more power and increased mileage. There was this whole story on how the "Big Three" have learned since the beginning of the automobile to make cars "shitty" (for lack of a better word) so that they break down faster...keeping mechanics, and any auto shops in business...I'll look for the site.
