Gen 3 to Gen 4 Silverado swap

Do you have a scanner that can delete the codes? Sometimes you get communications codes by simply disconnecting stuff or reflashing an ECU.
A few months ago I bought a month subscription to all data, but for a suburban. May be the same as a truck? Let me check.

I've deleted them a few times and even reflashed my pcm. At this point I'm leaning towards a bad ground/broken splice or a junk starter. Weird that it worked just fine for weeks after the swap and then all of the sudden...

Run a temporary ground and see if the problem persists first.

I did that (admittedly after I put a new alternator in it- I was having charging issues though so who knows). I thought it fixed it because it fired right up but as it turns out it is an intermittent issue. I also tested the ground (g110, where it attaches to the truck and it is solid). So now I want to test the ground at the connectors and see if that reveals anything.

Updates
Just because I hate threads where questions were asked and answered and then there's no update on the progress. I also have a couple more queries.
So, the codes. They were because of a poor connection to the starter and a weak/old starter. I added a second battery, got a high torque start and wired both batteries (pos and neg) to starter. Never skipped a beat since.
Question: how do I short circuit the oil level sensor so that it thinks I have full oil?
Also, I'm having starting issues and have a thread started on hptuners. If you tuning gods would look at that (complete with logs and tunes) and let me know what you think I'd appreciate it!

Thanks guys!

Dash noise?
Greetings,
I'm trying to figure out what this noise is. It seems to be in the driver's side dash or under the hood in that same area. It happens (most of the time) when I key on for a couple of seconds. You can hear in the video that one time it takes a lot longer to make the noise and doesn't last as long. It is almost always happening when it's running but on occasion it seems to go away. I thought it was the fuel pump but the irregularity makes me think it's something else. Also, when standing on the driver's side with the door open I can hear the fuel pump under the bed and this noise is in addition to the normal fuel pump noise. Maybe it's my fuel regulator? Like the noise of gas rushing through it and returning to the tank? Let me know what you think. Absent any other guesses I think I'm going to unplug the fuel pump and see if it still makes the noise when I key on.
