getting some paint work done...is this fair?
so i was talking to my girlfriend's friend's uncle the other night and he does paint and body work. i asked him how much to repaint two front fenders and a hood with ghost flames wraped around. well he gave me an estimate of $650 and he has a pretty good reputation of doing some top notch work. but does that seem fair..$650? thanks

Sounds like a good price, I know several painters around here, and one charges 1k + for simple flames in 1 color. One shop did a ex g/f's tahoe with 'ghost flames' for 500.... it was silver-ish paint ontop of charcoal, and they looked like a sack full of hammered ******** ontop of that.

Sounds like a good price, just let him you know you want a quality job done. I have seen a lot of ghost flames that look like ***. If they dont turn out good always get them fixed, even if they eat the cost of materials or labor. After all they gave you the $500 price for a quality job and if you dont receive it its there problem not yours. I think the silver flames would look good laid over the black.
