Default GM extends 100,000 mile warranty to used vehicles

I just saw they have extended the 100,000 mile powertrain warranty to 2002 GM used certified vehicles.

Yea, it makes me want to sell my truck and buy it back just to get the warranty.

Good move on the General's part. Stand Behind the product. Whodda thunk?

I think its a sign of weakness. Every time I turn around they are offering more and more and more to entice people to buy. Good luck getting a 4L60-E fixed under a warranty, even if the truck is certified. Trust me, they will find SOMETHING to void the warranty. Look through the smoke and mirrors what what it really is, just a scheme to promote "dealer" used car sales. All they have done is de-value EVERY used truck in America that is for sale by a private party or non franchise dealer.

Thanks GM, just another nail in the coffin

Yep. But you gotta admit, in the board room...putting nails in Ford's coffin is probably at the top of their list/conversation.

I was talking about GM's Coffin

I don't see this having a positive outcome over the long term. This is now a long term liability that will end up costing them more money than its worth.

4l60-e is the reason I own what I have now.

GM-should be cutting back, the new warrenty on the nnbs is going to kill them. More power same 3-4 clutch band problems around the 80-90K mile mark.
