Hey brotha' I have the GMPP Intake Kit.....and I cleaned mine with Simple Green cleaner because it's not caustic to the paper element. It's a good cleaner for the "dry" filters of any make. You can also use it on your nice wheels and it won't dmage them.
I clean my GMPP filter about every 10,000 miles because really, I live in a dusty environment. GM reccomends cleaning it about once every 90 days or sooner if need be.

Damn! Your filter is CLEAN....lol....
Mine looks like the inside of a vaccum cleaner...lol.
I think it's the best CAI that I've ever owned. And.....it allows for a nice dry shot...lol

I sparayed it down with a liberal coating of Simple Green...sprayed it off...and used a hair dryer. Or air drying works just as well...lol
