It's doesnt, because you add the strength back with the kit itself.
Research the c-notch and look at the parts. You bolt new metal onto the trucks frame or you can weld it all on when it's all put together. It's up the owner to do what he/she wants with it.

If you actually weld in a c-notch it will not weaken the frame at all. And there are plenty of people who just have it bolted in without issues.
Truck: 2000 ECSB Z71 4WD lowered 2/4
Tire Size: 285/50-20 in pictures. Currently has 265/60-18s which Ill get a pick up later today or tomorrow.
Front drop: 2" lowering keys cranked all the way up so CV angle is almost flat, slightly upward.
Rear drop: Lift blocks removed and 2" shackles
Shocks: Bilstein replacement shocks for stock 2003 AWD Silverado SS

Yes, I did. I live out in the country now where the roads suck, and I can't get much use out of my truck anymore. Considering putting a mild lift on it. That should be a change! Haven't had much interest in the parts yet, so we will see if I actually go through with it.
