Default GMT800 interior - Seats are garbage

What kind of seats do you have in your single cab? Stock manual, stock leather power, what?

What exactly is garbage about them? In most single cabs I have driven they are manual cloth. I don't like cloth GMT-800 seats personally.
In my extended and crew cab I have stock leather power.

I have the cloth power seats. No bad, but after 305.000 miles the foam needs replacing. cloth still looks good. I wouldn't mind having some of the captain chairs found in the extra cabs.

For me, and probably other larger gentlemen, the 40/20/40 manual cloth seats in my 2000 reg cab are more comfortable than the power leather buckets I had in my old 2002 Tahoe. However, I had many passengers that loved the seats in the Tahoe. The GMT800 seats are already not centered on the steering wheel and I felt the fold down armrests exacerbated the issue offsetting farther to the left.

That's allegedly a crash safety thing. Steering column projects away from you to help prevent you catching it to the chest

I actually really like my cloth manual seats in my Tahoe. No armrest model. I bought new foam and have been looking for a new lower cloth section- but 264k and they are doing really well. I can drive that truck 10+hrs without complaint. 5'9" 165lbs. Your results may vary

My 05 had leather but by 2018 the driver seat was trashed so I ended up recovering with new leather from leather seats.com.

I started driving a 5 speed truck with manual cloth seats and I swear to hot jesus christ my back is toast after a couple weeks of driving.

I just picked up some power leather seats to recover and swap in so I hope those will help with more adjustability

GMT800 series has, by FAR the best, most comfortable, and durable seats EVER factory installed in ANY pickup truck to date..
Outfit in Texas will sell you new foam, and leather cover, your 20 year old truck can feel like brand new for another 100,000 miles.

TheSeatShop is who he is talking about. I have heard super good reviews. I plan on going with them here within the year for some stuff.
