It was ok to swap from mineral oil to synthetic for that one change wasn't it. Swaping the other direction is no different. Pretty much all oils mix fine now a days.

yeah, you'll be fine either way. Synthetic is good, but it should not hurt anything to change back to conventional

ive known some people that mix all kinds of oil in motors.
My uncle didnt have any oil that he regularly uses, and he had to get to work. So he got some 75w-90, 20w-40, 10w-30, and some other stuff he had laying around. This was in his 79 chevy 400sb. and for the last 5yrs he just puts what every oil in it he has laying around. He puts this truck in MudBoggs and runs the crap out of it.

My brother mixes 2qts of Lucas Oil Stablizer with 4qts of Castrol GTX in his 77 chevy w/383 stroker. It keeps it pretty dang quiet. Dont know if thats a good thing or not. but its still running after a year.

The Check Engine Oil Level light came on in my truck one day while my mom had it, she just put a quart of some 20w-40 in it. But i changed it the next day with Mobil 1.

So i couldnt see where the change back to Dino oil would hurt.

I've heard that switching off of synthetic to back to conventional could create foaming in the oil.
I have also been told that you can safely switch from synthetic to semi-synthetic.
True or not, I don't know.
My truck and car gets full synthetic and it stays that way.

Foam = air????????Hmmmmmmmmmm..... That's what I want my oil pump circulating!!!!! Sit back and think about it first.
Try running hydraulic systems with hydraulic fluid that is foamed because the wrong oil was mixed in. The hydraulic pump looses the ability to create pressure. Therefore, the hydraulic line pressure drops significantly.
Same concept with foaming engine oil and your oil pump.

You can do whatever you want. I'm just giving you my opinion.
It's your truck man, not mine.
