Default Gonna lower the 4x4.. need opinions on tire size?

I have some 285/65/18 on right now and leveled. I wanna take the boat anchors off and do a 2/4 drop i have all the stuff ready im just not sure on tire size. I bought some of the stock gmc 17's and was looking at running something like a 275/60/17. I did some searching and couldnt really get a good idea if the tires will be too small. Ive seen them on the 2wd pickups that are lowered but not any 4x4 2/4 drops. Also the fender guards i will have to take them off all i can see is the screws and a little adhesive tape anybody have experience with this??

i think you should go 3/6 dude, a 2/4 on a 4x4 is basically 2wd stock height IMO lol

I personally dont wanna drag everywhere i go.

You can remove the fender flares, a few screws and some sticky tape. Sometimes (usually) you will see the rub marks in the paint on the fenders where they used to be. Easier to hide on light colored trucks, no biggie really.

On stockers, you will have no trouble fitting 275/60R17's. They will actually look a little small (I test fitted a set on my truck to see).

On my truck(lowered 4x4, 3-5), I've ran 245/75R16, 285/50R20, 275/45R20, 265/70R17, 275/55R20, 275/45R22, and 275/70R16. None of them rubbed.

i think im gonna go a little bigger with the tire. I'll be ordering them online most likely and i would like to get the right size that looks the best with my drop. Anybody else got some pics of 4x4 lowered 2/4 with stock 17's gmc?
