Default Grease fitting question

I have a leaking fitting and want to replace it. Are they metric threads? The store (Advance) has both kind and I didn't want to buy a pack of each.

most hardware stores carry them too. You can buy the one that you need and not have a bag. Just take it off and bring it there.

Thanks. I haven't used a grease gun for years (before I got this truck). Bought one of those fancy "p-new-matic" grease guns. I didn't realize you could buy fittings individually.

I drove a Civic with permanently lubed components for a long time.

dont use an air grease dun!!! use a hand pump gun... the air guns will blow out rubber boots and bushings before you even know it.

Thats one of those tools that more power is always the best. Just be carefull if you use it. Reg. grease guns are the safest.

I watch the boots to see how much they expand. I know what you guys mean but you can over-do it even with a hand gun(I have one or two of them).

It's the ones that you can't see anything happening (until it's too late) that worry me some(d-shaft carrier bearing).
