Default guage cluster OOPS!!

I was finished putting in my new deck last night and said what the hell.....Im gonna try and clear my guage needles.
After getting the shell apart I noticed the Tach's needle facing almost all the way down....I Must have damaged the inside of the cluster. No visible damage from the outside.
If I bring it to GM, do you you guys think they would replace it under warranty if it was just misteriously "not working"?

thanks,
Jesse

put it back together and see if it goes back to where it should be. The needles jump around when unplugged from the truck, probably no big deal...

The needle may be in the wrong spot, Take the needle off and the clear face of the cluster off and plug it in and put the key to run, then push the needle on the shaft in the zero mark and it may be OK.

If its the servo, get the dealer to fix it..... Or if they won't fix it, send it to me and I can replace it for you. I'll just have to make a few phone calls for a new servo, and solder it in.

I'll try the dealer first and see what they have to say or what they can do, if they arent helpful, I'll let you have a go at it steve....I was wanting to talk to you about doing the LED's for the truck anyway.

Thanks

If you get your gauge fixed under warranty, I say strike one for the customer.

I would recommend calling these people (Autocraft Electronics) up and them fix it, oh yeah this is the company that repairs all of GM Cluster gauges. If the dealer has to send your gauge off this is were it will be going.
