H2 Shifter Conversion
Hey all. I'm a newbie around here, but have been on SilveradoSS.com for a while. I am looking for some info on doing a H2 shifter conversion on my 03 SS silverado. I already have the shifter and the bezel for it, but I need to do a little research first. I know the factory shifter is cable operated, and the tow haul button is on it. I have no proble relocating that, but I have to figure out what else I need to make the lock out in the H2 shifter work and all the electronics work correctly. I got the idea after seeing Sling Blade in the August Truckin' magazine, plus a real SS is floor shift not the granny shift(column) it has now. Thanks any and all info is appreciated. Later

Pretty sure you're correct in saying it's wider. The article in Truckin' mentioned that the dash was modified to fit in the truck. I'd prefer to just use a shifter from someone like B&M or Hurst and fit it in the stock console. The biggest hurdle from reading on the link posted is making the wiring work.

Don't know if this would help with it, but you could probably contact them to find out about lengthening the wires and using the shifter ***** with the push button for the tow/haul feature.
