ha ha hemi kill
my friend recently got a 1500 standard cab hemi ram, and hes been talking alot of smack to me about how fast it is, well we took our argument out to the local 1/8 mile track to settle it, and i spanked him every time and it felt so good. all my mods are in my sig so im pretty lightly modded but we would stay even till around 20mph then i would pull on him every time, my best time of the night was a 9.71 to his 10.30, so i guess the hemi is overratted. i also raced a stock 2002 mustang gt with a 5 speed and beat him by a few one hundreths of a second, i know this could be attributed to driver error but i still got the green light so i was pleased. i also raced a bone stock 2002 lightning and he royally spanked me, ran a 9.01, but he was really cool about it so it was fun, i also witnessed the absolute worst driver of all time, a brand new lancer evo was out there and could only run a 10.2. totally random but my freinds got a 3000gt vr4 and this loser in an *** ugly v8 nova known as the "cream machine" and he starred my friend down all night and all it got him was two beat downs

Re: ha ha hemi kill
great kills. to be honost, i enjoyed killing my friends hemi (any hemi) more than a ford anyday. I guess cause when they came out everyone was HEMI this and HEMI that. I've noticed lately that the hemi nostalgia seems to be wearing off. hmm, maybe they are realizing that 345hp claim (if they even have that) isn't at the ground and at the flywheel instead.

Come on, those standard cab, short bed Hemi trucks weight over 5300lbs, and the Chevy sc/sb is at least 1000 lbs lighter. Even with more power that thing is slow, and they have it shift before it even gets into its power band. That really is a great motor, but it needs to be unleashed in something else that doesn't weight so much, and shift at 5200rpms!

Re: ha ha hemi kill
yeah i realize my truck is lighter and i am not saying the hemi is a bad engine, i rode in it and that thing has a ton of torque, but seeing as it is the new "hot" engine in town i was pretty happy to beat one

I totally agree with hogeee, the weight (Chevy 4147/lbs vs Hemi/4586 lb) is killing the package and with a few mods you're going to kill him, I'll always be a Chevy fan, I've owned the 3.8SC, 4.3, 5.7, 5.7LS1, 5.3, 6.0 and the mighty 8.1, just sometimes I desire a change. The GM trucks are the best looking. I think they need a year or two and then they will be offering the most hp. The torque management effect on the Hemi is more than my Chevys. I believe GM needs to market their motors as well as Dodge has. The Hemi is a lot of hype but it is fun to ride the swell.

Good Kills Snub. 9.7 1/8 you can make up the weight differance with a Babe in the truck and a big *** cooler in the bed and still beat him .
