Default Hankook RH06 question.

Well it's about that time to start replacing my tires again and I have just a couple of questions. First, I'm running Firestone destination 275/60-17 at the moment and giving it more than a quarter throttle from a stop simply lights up the tires until I let off. Are the Hankook's going to hook any better? Secondly, my tires are only a year old and already need to be replaced. I haven't roasted them but twice by accident and they're already going bald at 30,000 miles. I believe it's because of the 4.56 gears and a lot of highway use. Would it be reasonable to expect the Hankook's to last longer? I know that long tire life and grip are almost always opposites on the spectrum, but I figured I'd ask anyway.

I run the RH06's and they are one of the best street tires I've had. They stick great when you warm them up a bit. As far as wear goes, I have about 10000 miles on mine and they've lost next to nothing.

I was running 295/50/20 Falkins for a while and like you say, 1/2 pedal and they were smoke'n. I switched to 305/40/22 RH06's and WOW. Both tires are 31.6" but what a difference. They grip hard and I see no wear on them yet after 13k. I don't do smoke shows but I have roasted them all the way through 1st and bit of second many times. Best tire I have ever ran for the money. Do not worry about the Hankooks. They will treat you great!

I'm gonna get 50k miles out of my set. Excellent wear for a V-rated tire.

I used to run Nitto 420S, 275/60R17. I loved them.. They hooked really well when I first got them, then I ended up with a 3k stall and a cam. And well I found out how much fun doin rolling burnouts was. Then I'd go to the track and smokeout the water box. And then they got bald after alot of abuse haha! But deff a good tire which if they made in my size I'd be running right now. I think there priced a Lil above hankooks, so you can't really go wrong with saving some cash there

I paid $100 a tire for my nitto 420S. I don't pay installation fee or balacing fees. I paid like $450 after tax maybe. I get a little discount
