Dude chill out. Your not going to get a response in less than a minute(rarely).
it's not really worth it. You need new springs and hardened pushrods. Your better off buying a used cam on here like a 212/218 or a 218/220 or something that won't need a stall. Still there are a few guys that have them on here.

Everyone that's been there done that say's they wish they would have gone bigger, but for the price (used) it's a good deal, if you can't do it yourself you def. need to wait and save money and get a bigger cam

I would do a search. Several people have asked this and I have answered, I did it about 2 years ago. Was it worth it? At the time it was pretty neat but after the newness wore off, all I did was want something bigger. It's a great turbo cam but won't give you much more power itself. I didnt change anything else out but some will say change springs and push rods. I would say do a little soul searching and decide where you want the truck to be when it's finished or what your goals are. You dont want to do a cam swap then in a couple more months spend another 400 buying another cam because the one you just put in wasnt big enough.

I assume you're talking about the LS6 cam in a C5 Z06. According to a book called "How to Build High-Performance Chevy LS1/LS6 V-8s" by Will Handzel, a LS6 cam in a 5.3 added 39 Horsepower and 11 Torque.

i have that book too, it lost bottom end though. dont you need that bottom end power in a truck to get it goin? i could see the swap if you weighed the same as the Z06. but i for some reason i would feel better putting a gm cam in my motor. its hard to say.

I was thinkin about doin the same thing dude. The more I read and studied the more it sounded like a bad idea. Yeah you can find them cheap...But you more than likely won't be happy...for long anyways. Really do some readin on this site and then do some more thinkin before you jump into buyin one.

Here is a thread where a Z06 cam only was put in a Stock 4.8 5-sp. There is all so a link to the dyno graph in there too.
